Did Jawaharlal Nehru purposely appoint Maulana Azad as his education minister, to distort, re-invent and Islamize Indian history in order to build up and consolidate Islamic vote Bank for the Congress party?
The result of distorted history of India can be seen across the books starting from middle school level. This distortion happened during Nehru era. Colonel N.S. Simpson was shot and killed at the Writers' Building in Kolkata on 8th December 1930, by Indian revolutionaries Benoy K Bose, Badal Gupta, and Dinesh Chandra Gupta, members of the Bengal Volunteers, as an act against British colonial repression.
In order to inflict mental torture on the imprisoned revolutionaries, the 'revolutionaries' outside the jail decided to kill the notorious Inspector General Colonel N. S. Simpson. At that time, the secretariat of the British rulers was in Dalhousie Square in Calcutta (now Kolkata), which was named 'Writers Building'. High-ranking British bureaucrats regularly used to work in that building. Vinay, Badal and Dinesh were ordered to attack the building and kill Simpson. They started their work at 12 noon on this day in 1930. First, they killed Simpson and took revenge for the killing of their fellow freedom fighters. Then their fight with the British Gurkha army began. This is known in history as the 'Battle of Alinda'. Seeing that escape was impossible, all three tried to commit suicide by consuming 'potassium cyanide'. Fearing that they would die very quickly from poisoning, all three of them aimed the ends of their pistols at their own heads. Badal died on the spot. Vinay and Dinesh were brought to the hospital in a seriously injured condition. Vinay was a medical student, so he knew how to accept death. So on the night of December 12, 1930, Vinay took off the bandage on his head and died by hitting the wound. And Dinesh was hanged on July 7, 1931.
Today our country is independent, but the current leaders of our country have forgotten all these sacrifices. You will not find their references in mainstream news across the country. This incident may be covered in some pockets of Indian society who still refuse to forget contribution of non-congress freedom fighters. Congress and Nehru appointed historians took all possible efforts to ensure that Indian freedom struggle remained a ‘congress only’ affair. Hence there is a need to change history books which only glorified Mughals, invaders and congress party.
PM Modi is rightly saying that Indians need to get rid of slave mentality and ‘Macaulay culture’.
