Who is Mahua Moitra, the member of Parliament?

Remember this young girl Ruchika Singh who made headlines during CJP student agitation at Jantar Mantar in July 2026 for abusing PM Modi with filthy language. Within weeks, Yogi Adityanath’s UP police came calling to her home in Noida, Delhi NCR. After seeing police at her doorstep, not just this young girl but her mother also apologised for abusing PM Modi publically. The entire incident was not linked with Bengal but TMC MP Mahua Moitra decided to criticise UP police action.

More than a year ago, TMC MP Sagarika Ghose chased a young law college student social media influencer Sharmishtha Panoli from Pune, Maharashtra. She made a post after Operation Sindoor border conflict with Pakistan in which she blasted the Pakistanis and question the silence of Bollywood film stars. This irked the librandµ TMC leaders and Muslims in India and based on her tweet, Kolkata Police (under TMC rule) issued FIR and searched her across multiple states. After some time she was arrested from Gurugram with no legal notices and brought to Kolkata for legal trial. The case had no link with Bengal or TMC but is a simple case of appeasement politics of TMC.

The Bengal opposition leader (now Bengal CM) Suvendu Adhikari reminded media that FIR was lodged against TMC MP Mahua Moitra for abusing Hindu Goddess Kali in social media and MP Sayoni Ghosh for posting offensive photo on Hindu symbol Shivalinga. Ex-CM Mamata Banerjee also made abusive comment on Maha Kumbha religious event as ‘mrityu-kumbha’ but there was no legal actions against them. Now there is a BJP government in Bengal and Suvendu Adhakari is CM, he has the opportunity to take these anti-Hindu naxalite (PM Modi used to term dimagi naxals) to task.

Mahua Moitra is an urban naxal. In fact, the entire TMC leaders are urban naxals
