Trump mentioned how the US has been "disrespected, ridiculed, and undermined" at the UN. Do you think this is accurate? If so, why do you think that is?
The real reason the US invaded Venezuela and removed the leader Maduro, goes back to a deal Henry Kissinger made with Saudi Arabia in 1974. This is actually about the survival of the US dollar itself. Not drugs. Not terrorism. Not democracy. This is about the petrodollar system that has kept America the dominant economic power for 50 years. And Venezuela just threatened to end it.
Venezuela has 303 billion barrels of proven oil reserves. The largest on earth and more than Saudi Arabia. But Venezuela was actively selling that oil in Chinese Yuan, not dollars. In 2018, Venezuela announced it would free itself from the dollar. They started accepting Yuan, Euros, Roubles, anything but dollars for oil.
Stephen Miller (US homeland security advisor) literally said it out loud sometime back, "American sweat, ingenuity and toil created the oil industry in Venezuela. Its tyrannical expropriation was the largest recorded theft of American wealth and property." He was not hiding it. They're claiming Venezuelan oil belongs to USA because US companies developed it 100 years ago.
In 2000, Saddam Hussein announces Iraq will sell oil in euros instead of dollars. By 2003 Iraq was Invaded using UN resolution which talked about weapon of mass destruction (WMD) being used by the regime. The Regime changed and Saddam was hanged. Iraq's oil immediately switched back to dollars. The WMDs were never found because they never existed. Later ex-PM of UK Tony Blair admitted that WMD was just a fake narrative created to invade Iraq and topple Saddam just because he invaded Kuwait in 1990. The UN lead ‘oil for food’ program benefited US administration because they controlled Iraq’s oil sell and profits.
In 2009, Libya’s Gaddafi proposes a gold-backed African currency called the ‘gold dinar’ for oil trade. Hillary Clinton's own leaked emails confirm this was the primary reason for intervention. The email quote: "This gold was intended to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar." By 2011 NATO bombs Libya. Gaddafi sodomized and murdered. Libya now has open slave markets. The gold dinar plan died with him. "We came, we saw, he died!" Clinton laughed on camera.
Now USA is moving its naval fleets towards Iran. One career fleet is there and the second fleet with nuclear career George W Bush is going there. If conflict starts there, China will be the biggest loser as they benefited most from the cheap non-dollar discounted oil payments from Russia, Venezuela and Iran. Iran was sanctioned by USA led UN resolution to sell oil using SWIFT mechanism. India was doing barter trade with Iran and exchanging rice, tea, food products etc. in exchange of oil. This barter trade mechanism was also stopped due to US pressure under Donald Trump 1.0 administration. A future war with Iran will mean regime change, return of pro-west Shah and USA controlling oil sale from Iran.
After Iran, USA may focus on Nigeria, another oil exporting country from Africa. There is religious divide there with northern population being Islamic and southern population mostly Christian. Religious clashes and riots in the north can be the excuse for USA to intervene. Already Donald Trump made some negative comments on rights abuse being faced by Christians and Whites in Nigeria and South Africa.
Then, there are threats to both Canada and Greenland. Clearly, Donald Trump 2.0 era may see more conflicts as UN has actually become a ‘dead wood’ organisation. So, Donald Trump is criticizing UN just to pursue his own plan.
