Why Indian history books revolves only around Gandhi, Nehru and INC?
In 1948, Prof. Ramesh Chandra Majumar or RC Majumdar as popularly known, submitted a proposal to the Government to write an authentic and truthful history of the freedom struggle. In 1952 the education ministry appointed a Board of Editors for the compilation of the history. Professor Majumdar was appointed by the Board as the Director and entrusted with the work of sifting and collecting materials and preparing the draft of the history. The board also consisted academicians who are communists and some were close to Nehru family. Clearly there was discord in the team which could not work properly and this board was dissolved by end of 1955.
RC Majumdar studied BA and MA from Presidency College, Calcutta (now Kolkata), he was history professor at University of Calcutta for seven years. He became Vice-Chancellor of University of Dacca (Dhaka) for five years (1937-1942) and shifted to BHU, Varanasi. Being an academic historian, RC Majumdar was close to President Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Vice President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Majumdar had declared that he would critically examine the roles played by Mohandas Gandhi, Motilal Nehru and Jawaharlal Nehru in the Independence struggle. Majumdar refused to bend the history as per the need of congress. The result? Majumar was removed.
Jawaharlal Nehru’s Islamist education minister, the vile Maulana Azad, removed RC Majumar. Maulana Azad was succeeded by three equally, dynasty-friendly Education Ministers. It was during the tenure of another awful dynasty lackey, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed that another historian Tara Chand’s sanitized bundle of historical lies was finally published. Nehru’s slave bureaucrat named Tara Chand was brought into the Education ministry who was India’s ambassador to Teheran from 1951-56 and Allahabad University Vice-Chancellor in 1940s. Tara Chand’s spurious tract was published in 1967 by the Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This, tragically, remains the official (read: Congress dynasty’s) history of the freedom struggle (the title is the same as that of R.C. Majumdar’s volumes) till date.
With meagre resources, Majumdar worked alone and completed the majestic three-volume work in just seven years. It is still the most comprehensive, authoritative and unchallenged work on India’s freedom struggle. But his effort was ignored as it was politically not suitable for congress. In 1969, a University named after Nehru was formed in New Delhi to propagate Nehru’s ideologies. This is the infamous Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) which was overrun by the communists from the beginning. These communists like Irfan Habib and Romila Thapar became the new flag bearer of Indian distorted history. These communist academicians only justified Tara Chand’s distorted history. Slowly these communist academicians gained importance not just in JNU and Jadavpur University, Kolkata but various other universities like Delhi University. They created a vast pool history students who are left-leaning (leftist, communist or librandµ).
Slave historians be like this…
