What is the economic growth in India 2022-2023?

Image
Morgan Stanley, in its latest report, hailed the PM Narendra Modi led Indian government and said that in a short span of 10 years, India has gained positions in the world order with significant positive consequences for the macro and market outlook. A lot has changed in the last decade and ‘India will be in the top 3 by 2027’ in terms of absolute GDP. India was 10th nominal GDP in 2014. The latest news is India clocked 7.2% GDP growth in 2022-23 is 7.2% in a gloomy global economy scenario due to Covid-19 pandemic and Ukraine war which is still going on. India’s GDP growth is much higher than any G-20 countries. China which was driving global economy in the decade 2000s (200-2010) is clocking much less growth than India. Germany, another power house is in recession. According to World Economic Forum (WEF) President Borge Brende, India is expected to clock the highest growth among the world's big economies this year and the country's economy is witnessing the "famous snowbal

Imagination is converted into reality these days. Most of people are saying the Congress party is now critical and endangered due to Rahul Gandhi. Why?

Image
Congress party is critically endangered not just because of failure of its leader Rahul Gandhi but various other things. Compare these tweets by congress party. In first tweet, Kerala congress mocking two BJP CMs as they take blessings from a Jain religious preacher. Kerala congress can afford this as there are few Jain minority (most Jains do not consider them minority but politicians do) in Kerala. This highlights mind-set of congress which is becoming anti-Hindu and anti-Jain under the influence of Abrahamic religions. Can Kerala congress mock Christian or Islamic preacher? Congress always try to project BJP leaders as uneducated, regressive which may not be the case. The second tweet came after new Parliament building was inaugurated by PM Modi and the event was boycotted by congress. The tweet shows new Parliament inauguration was a big Burnol moment for congress. By mocking PM Modi, congress again shows its true nature of worshipping a family to survive. This is also called sycop

India China Standoff: Will India-China relationship change forever?

Image
India-China relationship is changing due to prolong border standoff. External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar has recently said India faces a “very complicated challenge” from China, and the Narendra Modi government has taken steps to ensure no attempts are made to change the status quo in the border areas unilaterally. This challenge was very visible in border areas in the last three years (Since May 2020 Galwan clash). Both the countries have to find an equilibrium in relationship, but it cannot be on the terms of the other party. If peace and tranquillity between the two nations is disturbed, their relationship will not remain unaffected, as per EAM while delivering a talk on ‘Modi’s India: A Rising Power’ at the Anant National University, Gujarat in May 2023. What has changed in Modi’s India with respect to China? Almost everything. When Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi visited China in 1988, it was visit of Indian PM after decades. Last time PM Nehru visited China and Indira Gandhi skip

Is China really thinking about war with India?

Image
China’s current standoff with India at Ladakh since May 2020 is aimed at ‘salami slicing’ – which means taking away a small chunk of land from neighbour with gunboat diplomacy or strong arm tactics and without fighting a mini border war. It failed three years ago in 2017 at Doklam part of Bhutan but now they are back again. Why 90% of Chinese arms & ammunition exports are in south Asia and around India, in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh? Why economically unviable port development with freehold rights in Colombo, Hambantota, Gwadar etc. Is this not "string of pearls" by China against India? Theses freehold rights can be used by PLA navy for gunboat diplomacy in due course. What about blocking India and other P5 countries attempt to ban a terrorist Masood Azhar & Lakhvi despite being getting isolated globally repeatedly? China talks about lack of consensus in UNSC when consensus actually exist when other 14 members of UNSC wants action against terrorists. What

Why was Arvind Kejriwal called a deserter of causes (bhagora) after submitting the resignation of his first government? Should he have struck a deal and hung on?

Image
Delhi CM Kejriwal was called deserter or bhagora in Hindi as he left his first CM post in 49 days in 2013 to fight national general election in 2014. He thought his sacrifice in Delhi will make him national level politician. But that didn’t happen. Fast forward a decade. In 2023 Kejriwal again deserted Delhi after central government issued an ordinance to make LG as the final administrative boss after Supreme Court judgement. Kejriwal for last 15 days travelling various state capitals to get support of various political parties against this central ordinance. He again left Delhi high and dry and again proved to be a deserter or bhagora. He is also taking Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann along with him. That means Delhi and Punjab CMs are on long tour. God save these two states.. “A minor girl is brutally murdered openly in Delhi. This is very sad and unfortunate. The criminals have become fearless, there is no fear of the police. LG sir, law and order is your responsibility, do something. The s

A leading German media published a derogatory cartoon on India’s population and state of infrastructure as compared to advance Chinese setup when UN declared that India’s population surpassed China’s population to become most populous country. Did India's Modi make a major mistake by hosting its G20 meeting in Kashmir?

Image
India successfully conducted a 3 day G-20 conference in May 2023 on tourism in Jammu and Kashmir despite threat of boycott from some Islamic countries. No incident reported in J&K during the event. Pakistani politicians may claim victory (hollow) but pictures speaks a thousand words. Only China and few OIC countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey abstained officially but didn’t make any nasty comments. Many Islamic countries under OIC (Organisation of Islamic Countries) pressure were expected to abstain but Indonesia attended. This is because India once boycotted Malaysian palm oil when its leader Mahatir Mohamad in UNSC blamed that ‘India invaded Kashmir’. That palm oil boycott badly impacted Malaysia economy and Indonesia current leadership is wise not to repeat that same mistake. Chinese behavior is becoming more aggressive toward India and Indian leadership need to take on note on this. Despite partial boycott, G-20 meet is Jammu & Kashmir was fairly successful and p
