The 6th BRICS international meet was held on 15-16 July 2014 in Brazil which was PM Modi’s first BRICS summit as PM. Before this he had a foreign trip to neighboring country Bhutan. But the BRICS international trip was long trip as there are no direct flight to Brasil from India even for VVIP planes. PM Modi made a stopover to Germany and also returned back to India via Europe transit. He was flying on an Air India Jumbo 747 which is exclusively used by his predecessor PM Dr. Manmohan Singh. VVIP like PM, VP and President generally travel abroad on this Air India Jumbo and use IAF transport plane for domestic travel. On 17 July 2014, PM Modi’s Air India Jumbo flew over Ukraine while returning back to India and reached back home safely. Just five hours after PM Modi flew over Ukraine, A Malaysian civil airlines plane Boeing 777 was hit by a Buk ground launched missile which killed all 298 people and which was fired by rebels in eastern Ukraine. The plane wreckage was found in Donetsk province. The Russian speaking rebels fighting separation from Ukraine claimed responsibility. The plane was carrying large number of Europeans and Australians and hence Russia’s relation with west and Australia detoriated badly after this incident.
What is the learning from this Malaysia airline shot down incident? Most civilian planes don’t have any protection for this king of land based missile. Also PM Modi narrowly missed a critical air accident. India had lost many great leaders due to air accident like Subhash Chandra Bose, Madhavrao Scindia, AP CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, CDS Bipin Rawat etc. So, Indian government need to take critical protection for its top leaders like PM, VP and President with a specialized VVIP plane which has protection from hostile air attack on the similar lines of USA President’s planed called ‘Air Force One.’ This was the motive by Modi government to buy two special VVIP plane which will secure VVIP air travel. These two aircraft VIP-1 and VIP-2 are fitted with encrypted satellite communication facilities and advanced navigation aids, an advanced missile warning system, a missile deflecting shield and electronic countermeasures so as to provide protection from any ground-based or airborne threats and flares and glares for misleading the missile. The planes are not private property of Modi but for exclusive use of PM, President and VP to use for official trips within or outside India for extra safety. USA is a mature society and they made all arrangements for their President’s security after learning lessons from John F Kennedy tragic assassination but Indians are always casual despite few PMs were assassinated.

Since Air India Jumbo were used in the past, Indian leaders often took large freeloaders journalists who enjoyed free foreign travel with free boarding lodging, free liquors and sightseeing. These media group often called as ‘Khan Market gang’ and were extremely loyal to congress and projected UPA government positively. UPA government also generously gave then Padma awards. But this win-win free rides were stopped by PM Modi and hence these journalists became anti-BJP or anti-Modi. PM Modi’s foreign trips were tight scheduled, sleeping on long distance flights to save hotel costs, no alcohol and no private journalists and only couple of Doordarshan journalists. Private media journalists who covered PM foreign visits had to make their own arrangements. This irked left librandµ Khan Market gang journalists badly and they started criticizing PM Modi’s frequent foreign trips as ‘useless’. They made a narrative that PM Modi goes abroad for joyride.
One of the reason for financial bankruptcy of Air India was presence of large ‘darbari’ journalists on PM foreign visits
Air Force One is used by USA President and has large number of safety features and is a flying fortress
India followed USA type Air Force One for better security of PM, President and VP. It is not a personal property
Responding to reports claiming Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal spent around 45 crore on the beautification of his official residence, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that PM Narendra Modi bought a plane worth Rs 8,400 Crore during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the AAP style of counter attack on BJP realising they cannot defend the Rs 45 Crore bungalow renovation with luxury items as Kejriwal always promised ‘common man lefestyle’. But Sanjay Singh’s comparison is hollow because Delhi CM Kejriwal’s bungalow is not the official CM residence. Before Kejriwal, ex-CM Sheila Dikshit used other bungalow which was given to Manish Sisodia. So, the huge Rs 45 Crore renovation of Kejriwal’s official bungalow may be a waste of tax payers money and future CM may not select this bungalow. When Kejriwal became CM for 49 days in 2013, he lived in a smaller 5 room duplex flat. In 2015, Kejriwal took long time to finalise the bungalow which means individual CM may pick and choose his residence based on his wishes in absence of any official CM house.
Dy. CM Manish Sisodia was allocated ex-CM Sheila Dikshit’s bungalow immediately after 2015 assebly election win. It is highly unlikely that the bungalow Kejriwal selected in 2015 after a prolong search was in highly dilapidated state as claimed by AAP leader Sanjay Singh. Why would Kejriwal select a dilapidated bungalow? Sanjay Singh said the roof of room collapsed where Kejriwal’s parents lived and it was repaired. Then roof of Kejriwal’s room collapsed which was repaired. Later meeting room roof collapsed which was repaired. Incidentally, these roof collapse stories were never made public before. All this ‘cock and bull story’ indicate that Kejriwal smartly spent Rs 45 Crore in five batches of less than Rs 10 Crore to avoid mandatory LG approval. The way Kejriwal corruptions are tumbling out from the cupboard, it may be possible that curtains or carpets costing Rs 4000 was purchased at inflated price of Rs four lakhs. Kejriwal is the biggest fraud in Indian politics in recent years.

Congress is a dynastic party. Sonia Gandhi was congress parliamentary party chairperson. If she resigns, only two dynastic leaders are there who can be given that post – Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. Delhi CM Kejriwal has been promising the clean the Yamuna since 2015 massive election win. His failure in this regard in in 9 years only gain proved that old political theory – leftist, communist and naxalite leaders are good for nothing. They can fight with others, blame others and give freebies to win election. Just look at Kejriwal’s mentor Mamata Banerjee’s 13 year tenure in Bengal as a basket case of naxalite govt. During 1962 general election Nehru went to Kashi (Varanasi) and in a speech he said, ‘a lot of marble is used in temples, just like it is used in bathrooms. People think that the more marble you use, the more beautiful the thing will look. But seeing marble reminds me of bathrooms’. This speech given by Nehru in Kashi hurt the sentiments of Hindus, many people protested. But instead of apologizing, Nehru again reiterated these thoughts in an election rally in Jaipur during this time. He said in Jaipur, ‘the temples that are built today are absolutely worthless. As I had said in Banaras, perhaps people were offended. Here the beauty of temples is considered to be putting a lot of marble stone in them. Marble is a good stone, but marble stone always reminds me of bathrooms’. It is possible that Nehru was expressing concern about the architecture of Hindu temples in his election speech and perhaps he was mentioning the bathroom by giving the example of the same. But the same example can b...
