What do Delhiites (and also rest of India) think about Arvind Kejriwal now?

Arvind Kejriwal came from nowhere in 2011 and came to instant fame. He succeeded in becoming Delhi Chief Minister (CM) for 49 days after his anti-corruption campaign against INC congress who were ruling for 15 years. Commonwealth, coal, telecom etc. scams by central UPA government impacted image of congress state government of Delhi and a newcomer called ‘the insignificant man’ Arvind Kejriwal took the opportunity.

The brief story of “the insignificant man”

Kejriwal tried creating a narrative, true or false, that electricity companies in Delhi are corrupt

Kejriwal’s agitations in street gave him the required media coverage during UPA 2.0 era

With blessings from a respected non-political person, he launched his political career

A double muffler image proved to be an election winning idea

Promise of host of freebies on tax payers money made him vote catcher

Kejriwal salutes cough-n-cold and Indian democracy: He used cough and cold to gain sympathy and CM post

Kejriwal’s CM oath taking event highlighted by VIP & VVIP parking for Aam Admi (common man) politicians and singing filmy songs ‘insaan ka insaan se ho bhaichara’

Kejriwal never had an eye-to-eye with PM Modi and always ready to fight with him and Delhi suffered. Can you see the similarities between him and Mamata Banerjee of Bengal?

Those who think Kejriwal belongs to Haryana, they are wrong. Kejriwal may have been born and did schooling in Haryana, his political graduation happened in Bengal. He was student of IIT Kharagpur and after IIT, he joined TISCO (now Tata Steel) Jamshedpur and worked there for two years as per him. During these period, he regularly visited Calcutta/Kolkata and also worked with Mother Teresa organization for two months. Here he learned the Naxalite politics there.

He has all the traits of Naxalite like dharna and agitation, ruthless control on the party by purging some of the founders (Yogendra Yadav, Shanti Bhushan, poet Sukumar Biswas and captain Gopinath). During 2021 west Bengal state election, PM Modi said ‘TMC has created new breed of Maoists in Bengal who loot public money’. Similar activity is done by Kejriwal in Delhi. Hannan Mollah, an MP from Bengal for three decades (1980-2009) attends farmers agitation which is done mostly by Punjab’s farmers because these communists are loosing face in Bengal and needed new grounds. After his visit and many other ‘andolanjivi’ activists, librandu journalists, the unfortunate event at Red fort happened on 26 January 2021.

Kejriwal sleeps on areas where he can work without central government involvement

Angry young man: Kejriwal fights and blames Modi and other state government for air pollution in winter, water, oxygen and vaccine shortage etc.

Kejriwal takes credit for free vaccine given by central government. Kejriwal made a brand image of ‘freebie man’.
