What happens to a democracy with a weak opposition?

A weak opposition party fail to win election on its own merit, policies, actions etc. and hence needed foreign and anti-national funding to fight elections. For this, opposition leaders need to go abroad frequently to get funding and relax at far away tourist locations, ignoring the frustrating political environment at home.

As well known historian Sitaram Goel has said, ‘leftists and communists talk about demoracy and constitution only when they are in opposition’. When in power, leftists and communists are ruthless dictators. The same can be applied to Indian opposition leaders where are becoming Maoist and Islamist due to repeated failures and loss of political ground.

These failed political parties are hoping to regain ground one day somehow and will come to power. Then they hope to show their dictatorial fangs and currently they are only giving verbal threats.
