What will be the future of Kolkata after 10 years under Mamata Banerjee's rule?

CM Mamata Banerjee promised to transform Kolkata to London in 2011 after winning the election. Here is the ground reality after 15 years of TMC rule. More than 300 historic British era building which has high architecture, heritage and art value are in dilapidated conditions and nobody cares about them. It seems local TMC goons and land sharks are only interested in complete destruction of these heritage buildings so that they can grab the land and create a commercial mall or shopping centre.

Kolkata city has large number of heritage buildings, much more than combined strength of Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi etc. but unfortunately the city infra has gone to the dogs under the communist and TMC rule. According to one estimate, more than 3000 building need repair and may cause fatal accidents especially during monsoon.

This is a long post. Harsh Mander gave a provocative speech at Shaheen Bagh, Delhi near Jamia Millioa Islamia in February 2020 which went viral. It was part of ant-CAA agitation and soon riot started in North-East Delhi area of Jaffarabad and spread to other areas.
