What is your assessment of the performance of the Election Commission of India during the West Bengal Assembly elections 2026?

EC handling of Bengal assembly 2026 election was Excellent.

This young man is TMC candidate from Falta assembly in South 24 Parganas district. His name is Jahangir Khan. His boss is Abhishek Banerjee of TMC who is the nephew of CM Mamata Banerjee and also Lok Sabha AMP from Diamond Harbour under which this Falta assembly is located. The problem with Bengal is that these type of goons have emerged all across the state under the patronage of CM Mamata Banerjee.

TMC candidate Jahangir Khan threatens IPS Ajay Pal Sharma ‘you started the game, we will finish it’

Jahangir Khan became instantly famous (rather infamous) during the Bengal 2026 assembly election run-up when a decorated ‘Singham’ Police Officer Ajay Pal Sharma from UP under the election duty of Election Commission (EC) when to his home and threatened him of dire consequences if the TMC goons under him try to create law and order problem during the election. His message was shared on social and prime media which irked the entire TMC leadership.

TMC MP Mauha Moitra tweeted a nasty comments about this officer (all her past tweets are equally nasty, derogatory and un-Parliamentary) by calling him ‘chota fanta’ and UP CM Yogi Adityanath as ‘bada fanta’. CM Mamata Banerjee said that ‘Police officers have come from outsider who are dancing to the tune of BJP. People need to vote but in this tense environment, if fair voting possible’?

His warning to TMC leader Jahangir Khan was clear

Still some Falta area polling booths voting machines were tampered to prevent vote for rival parties and hence re-polling ordered

The EVM tampering proved that the IPS officer only targeted a known troublemaker but this has also irked CM Mamata Banerjee. CM Mamata Banerjee says ‘instead of guarding the borders, central forces came and brought vehicles which is used to encounter terr0rists’ and EC deployed them for election duty, state police force can’t be seen near polling booths’. EC arrested so many our people (read goons). Clearly, she is nervous as things are completely different this time. This is desperation form CM Mamata Banerjee who considers that they have the divine right to rig all the elections with violence and malpractices as this is the norm for 50 years. This extreme violence has been happening in Bengal since 1971 under congress CM Siddhartha Shankar Ray and reached alarming level under communist dictator Jyoti Basu in 1970s and 1980s. By 1990s, EC under TN Seshan introduced electronic voting machines and since then booth capturing and other violence started reducing. In 1970s, 70-80 people used to die in Bengal elections violence. This figure was reduced to 10 in 2006. But as TMC came to power, communist goons became more deadly jeh@di goons and election death tolls official figures kept rising - 24 in 2011, 26 in 2016 and 58 in 2021. Finally, this is the first Bengal election in 50 years, when nobody died! Western media used to criticise a lot about Indian democracy because of election violence in Bihar and Bengal. PM Modi, home minister Amit Shah and EC team must be congratulated for this big achievement.

EC banned bike groups and restricted them 100 meter from the polling booths, strict cctv monitoring maintained throughout the day.

Still violence free Bengal is still a dream for Indian democracy
