What is the issue between Raghav Chadha, the AAP member of Rajya Sabha and his party's top leadership?

Crab mentality of Indians is well known, whenever somebody rises in leadership, he/she was pulled down by own boss who has insecurity. Rajiv Gandhi became PM in 1984 with highest number of Lok Sabha 400 plus seats. But his performance was below average. His finance minister VP Singh became a rebel when Bofors scam emerged. VP Singh was expelled from congress and he even claimed that he has Rajiv Gandhi’s Swiss Bank account details. After the 1989 general election, he formed a coalition of right wing BJP and leftist communist parties like CPIM and became PM.

Raghav Chadha is modern day VP Singh who rebelled against his boss Arvind Kejriwal who claimed to be ‘kattar imandaar’ or most honest person in the whole planet! When CM Kejriwal skipped 8–9 ED summons and finally arrested from his house, Raghav Chadha stayed in London for 9 long months with excuse of critical eye problem. Raghav Chadha was aware that top AAP leaders are all corrupt and will go to jail as they made more corruption than previous Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit using ‘kattar imandaar’ slogan to fool people. This is also the time when Kejriwal realised that Raghav Chadha is not a reliable member of AAP.

BJP may not gain anything from 7-8 Rajya Sabha MPs coming to their party except their voting power in Rajya Sabha will increase. Raghav Chadha played soft on BJP, not raising the ongoing topics closer to leftists, communist, urban naxals and librandµs like the gas cylinder cost due to Iran-Israel &USA war. He raised trivial issues which gave him publicity but not harmed BJP. There was speculation that time itself that he may join BJP later. AAP is a bunch of 2 set of peoples - one was leftist, communist urban naxals andolanjivis motivated by Mamata Banerjee style of functioning, supported by foreign NGOs like Kejriwal, Prashant Bhustan, Yogendra Yadav, journalist Ashutosh etc. who belonged to the core team. The 2nd group who wanted to do something for the country and hence joined newly formed AAP (in 2012) like Kumar Vishwas, Kapil Mishra etc. Raghav Chadha belongs to second group and this group recognized true nature of Kejriwal and many joined rival BJP.

Kejriwal’s political career is finished. AAP Punjab government is on a shaky wicket. He cannot form the next Delhi state government even if he promises 3X more freebies. His reputation is tarnished. During his legal case of Delhi excise scam of more than Rs 2000 crore, he refused to attend court hearing and send his legal lawyer because he suspects the judge is not favourable to him! Does this mean terr0rists and criminals have the right to choose a favourable judge for their cases? Kejriwal is rather busy campaigning for his mentor Mamata Banerjee in the ongoing Bengal 2026 assembly election.

Both AAP and TMC are facing multiple corruption charges and many ministers in their Delhi and Bengal cabinet were jailed. Loads of cash were recovered from TMC leader’s houses. It will be better that Kejriwal forgets Raghav Chadha and 7 MP exit to BJP and stop cursing them on regular basis. Instead, Kejriwal should focus merging his party AAP with TMC as both have similar naxaliite Maoist ideology and operate in different geography so that their interest will not overlap.

This is a long post. Harsh Mander gave a provocative speech at Shaheen Bagh, Delhi near Jamia Millioa Islamia in February 2020 which went viral. It was part of ant-CAA agitation and soon riot started in North-East Delhi area of Jaffarabad and spread to other areas.
