What are your thoughts on Prime Minister Modi inaugurating the Z-Morh tunnel in J&K's Sonamarg?

As the Indian Army is celebrating 15 January 2025 as Army Day, a vital road tunnel between Srinagar (J&K) and Kargil (Ladakh) was inaugurated by PM Modi in January 2025. It is another feather in the cap of transport minister Nitin Gadkari. This highway saw enemy shelling during the 1999 Kargil war and used to get blocked in winter due to snow.

This Sonamarg tunnel (also know as Z-Mod tunnel) on Srinagar-Kargil highway and this will help round-the-year vehicular traffic. This tunnel was built at the cost of Rs 2400 crore. This is a strategic border tunnel after Rohtang tunnel and Sela tunnel which was inaugurated during PM Modi’s tenure. Also coming up another longer tunnel called Zojila tunnel also on this highway.
