Has anyone changed his opinion about Narendra Modi?

Former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has changed his opinion about Narendra Modi.

This was 2014

Former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has commended India, under the leadership of PM Modi, prioritizing its sovereign and economic interests while while also appealing for peace. Appreciating India's stand on Russia-Ukraine war, he said India has done ‘the right thing’. He also pointed out at the increased importance of foreign policy in domestic politics compared to his tenure as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. Singh, invited to a G20 dinner just a day before G-20 summit starts in New Delhi on 09 September 2023, further emphasized the significance of diplomacy without being overly influenced by partisan politics during India's G20 presidency.

Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the new world order has changed in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine war. India has an important role in operating this system. He said that while appealing for peace between the two countries, India has done the right thing by putting its sovereign and economic interests first. He is more optimistic than worried about India's future. He said that India is now getting a lot of respect globally as a peaceful large democracy and a large growing economy with constitutional values built since independence. India stands at the cusp of a unique economic opportunity in the changing world order. As a peaceful democracy with a large market and abundant human and natural resources, India can become an economic powerhouse of the world in the coming decades with an emphasis on services, manufacturing and production.

Speaking on India's role in the global supply chain, he said that currently there is talk of de-globalization and new types of trade restrictions. These may disrupt existing orders, but also open up new opportunities for India in global supply chains.

This is 2023

In this way, this statement of a renowned economist, who was the Prime Minister of the country for a decade (2004-2014), becomes very important at a time when leaders of 20 powerful countries of the world start arriving in New Delhi to join the G-20 meet.

This means - Modi hai toh mumkin hai…

Now that highly ‘educated and economist’ ex-PM Dr. Manmohan Singh has changed his mind about PM Modi, will Indian leftist, communist and librandµs will change their mind about PM Modi? No, never. There is an old saying ‘once a communist is always a communist’.
