Why is Rae bareli a strong seat for the Congress party?

Vote bank politics and dynasty worship. Sonia Gandhi who was Lok Sabha MP from Rae Bareli for decades handed over the family seat to RaGa and in 2024 election rally she said, ‘I have come here to handover my son to you (people of Rae Bareli)’.

In Rae Bareli district of UP, on 18 July 2024, it was revealed that thousands of Rohingya and Bangladeshi intruders had made birth certificates, then an investigation was set up in this matter which is now complete. A total of more than 52 thousand certificates have been found to be fake. This fraud includes certificates of people from many states of India as well as Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. The government has announced the cancellation of all these fake certificates.

According to media reports, a total of 11 villages of Salon block are badly affected by fake birth certificates. Including these 11 villages, a total of 52,594 birth certificates have turned out to be fake. These birth certificates were made in the name of citizens of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal along with the states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Punjab. Deputy Director Panchayati Raj Saswat Anand Singh has ordered the cancellation of all these fake certificates.

Along with this, the DPRO of the district has been instructed to be extra cautious while issuing birth and death certificates in future. Investigation has revealed that in many villages, fraudsters had made 500 to 1000 fake birth certificates in a single day, whereas a computer cannot generate more than 100 certificates in 24 hours. It is believed that conspirators sitting in many states had worked together to make so many certificates in a day with a single ID and password.

Among the 11 villages where fake birth certificates have been found, Palhipur is the most affected. 13707 fake certificates have been found here. Nuruddinpur is at second place where the number of certificates found is 10151. Prithvipur is at third place. 9393 fake certificates have been found here. Apart from this, 4897 fake certificates have been found in Sanda Saidan, 3746 in Madhopur Ninaiya, 3780 in Lahurapur, 2255 in Garhi Islamnagar, 1665 in Aunanis, 225 in Gopalpur alias Anantpur and 2 in Dubahan.

The main accused in this fraud is Mohammad Zeeshan, who is a resident of Salon in Rae Bareli. Along with him, Riyaz, Suhail Khan and VDO Vijay Singh Yadav involved in the conspiracy have also been arrested. NIA has also been engaged in the investigation of the case along with ATS. The investigating agencies are engaged in investigating the collusion of other accused involved in this fraud.

Initially, even many village heads did not have a clue of this conspiracy. To prove himself innocent, Vijay Yadav himself had lodged a complaint of this fraud with the police. During the police investigation, it was found that Vijay Yadav had given his official CUG number to Zeeshan. The OTP for approval of every birth certificate used to come on this number.
