Why is Amartya Sen so anti Modi?
If we were to make a list of the great advocates of secularism in India today, the first to be mentioned is Noble lauriate Amartya Sen. He probably don't even drink water without abusing Hindus, BJP government at centre and PM Modi. He said current Indian government as ‘one of the worst governments in the world is the Modi government of India.’ He has written a book titled "India's Secularism in the Face of Crisis". It was prefaced by Mr. Biman Basu, CPIM chairman, who after being beaten by Muslims took refuge with his family in this West Bengal which did not became part of East Pakistan due to efforts by right wing politician of Bengal Shyama Prasad Mookerjee. These are few questions Amartya Sen to answer publicly, referring to a few incidents:
(1) The naked corpses of Hindus killed in direct action day in1946 were loaded in trucks and brought to the railway line between Uari and Tikatuli in Dhaka city, including the headless bodies of naked women and children. Does he know about this event?
(2) During the Great Calcutta Killing or Direct Action Day, 20,000 Hindus were killed in Calcutta in the first three days, not counting the rapists and abductees, many Hindu girls were hanged by cutting their hands and feet in beef shops in Rajabazar, Victoria College girls were killed and hung from the hostel window. Does he remember these things or not? After 3-4 day of initial shock, Hindus under Gopal Patha fought back after forming a group with Dom , Chandal , Mochi ,Kashai ..etc. all lower caste Hindus. Gandhi ji intervened with hunger strike and asked Hindus to surrender their weapons to stop the riot.
(3) On 10-10-1946 Muslim League goons in Noakhali and Tripura converted about 1 lakh Hindus to Islam and forced them to eat beef, thrashed women on the ground, wiped sindoor vermilion with their foot toes. Babies were snatched and thrown into ponds, countless women were raped, people were given mass graves alive. Does he know this history? Gandhi ji went to Noakhali to save Hindus and stop the riots but he failed. The situation was so hopeless that Gandh ji asked Hindu women to commit suicides to protect their honour. This is similar to medieval incidences of sati in Rajasthan area after battle defeats.
(4) During partition in 1947, at least 75 thousand to 1 lakh Hindu and Sikh girls in Punjab had to fall into the hands of Muslim Lutherans. At least 50,000 children were born, the products of rape, who were poisoned to death. Numerous rescued Hindu and Sikh women were aborted at the Kapur Hospital in Delhi's Karol Bagh, on Nehru's orders. Hindu and Sikh girls were paraded naked through the streets of Lahore. Can he remember all this?
(5) Amartya Sen often weep for the Rohingyas. But don't he know that 50 lakh Hindus expelled from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) died on the streets and fields of West Bengal in the next 3 months from February 10, 1950? Is he not aware of how some of his own relatives like grandmother late Jagatlakshmi Devi and grandmother late Kiranbala Devi were harassed by Mu$lims in Dhaka city? At that time Hindu women were stripped of their sarees in Dhaka city, has he forgotten that? Don't he know anything about how the ancestral property huge land holdings of Sonarang village of his maternal grandfather late Kshiti Mohan Sen and his great-grandfather late Rasmani Sen became enemy property in East Pakistan? He never spoke anything against Pakistan or Islam. The waves of Hindu migration from East Pakistan continued in 1950s and 1960s which again peaked just before 1971 Indo-Pak war. He only talks about secularism, secularism and secularism.
Gandhi ji was living in fool’s paradise and hoping the partition of the country can be avoided. Once he offered to Viceroy Linlithgow that he could go and speak to Hitler. He wrote an open letter ‘To Every Briton’ in July 1940 asking them not to fight Hitler and Mussolini and let them have what they wanted. “Britons should lie down and die as heroes of non-violence and then the war would be over”, he advised. He gave a similar advice to the Bengali Hindus to “die fearlessly” at the hands of their neighbors without fighting back. “There will be no tears but only joy if tomorrow I get the news that all three of you (have been) killed”, he told a trio of his Bengali followers who were going to the region on a mercy mission.

It is fine that Amartya Sen is leftist economist and propagates welfare state concepts as implemented by Sri Lanka, Venezuela etc. Unfortunately, he has become political influencer with opposing BJP’s ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan, CAA and NRC legislation etc. Is Amartya Sen following footsteps of Gandhi ji to appease the peaceful community? Is he trying to win another Noble prize, this time for peace? Or he is just propagating the George Soros foundation agenda in India because he is part of it. He seems to be doing this because he on payroll of Soros and other anti-Indian groups based in west. What he will do if BJP comes to power in 2024?
