What are Mullah Mamata's chances in the 2026 elections?

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee aka Mumtaz Bano is facing her toughest state election since she became CM in 2011. Her confidence reached peak after winning 2021 state election on a wheelchair based election campaign. Subsequently, she tried her luck in Goa, Tripura, Nagaland etc. but failed miserably. With these defeats, she realised that she has no political standing outside Bengal. Her empire is still holding in Bengal, even without any economic development, solely on minority community appeasement, goon culture and various freebie schemes.

In 2026 assembly election, EC has deleted more than 90 lakhs of voters as per SIR process, many senior officers (close to TMC) were transferred by EC before the election, large pool of central forces deployed for the elction process and if home minister Amit Shah is to be believed, these central forces will stay long in the state to prevent post poll violence. TMC goons have a nasty habit of bashing and r@peing (irrespective of age) people who voted rival party.

Hence Mamata Banerjee is panicking and this reflects on her election speeches. The chance of her defeat and a surprise BJP win is real in 2026.

This is called emotional blackmail

Mamata Banerjee Caught on Camera Shouting at Cameraman Over Empty Rally Seats
A series of clips showing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reacting to dwindling crowd sizes has ignited a massive social media storm. The footage, which has gone viral across multiple platforms, captures the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo visibly frustrated during a recent public address. “Don’t Show the Exit”: The Outburst The controversy began when cameras panned to show large sections of the rally grounds thinning out while the Chief Minister was still speaking. Upon noticing the camera’s movement, Banerjee interrupted her speech to direct the media personnel on-site. She was heard shouting at the cameraman, instructing him strictly not to film people leaving the venue. The frustration peaked when she reportedly lashed out at the operator, calling him “blind” for focusing on the empty spaces and the departing crowd rather than the stage. The Impact of “Empty Chair” Visuals In the age of digital campaigning, visuals of empty chairs or people leaving mid-speech are often used by political rivals to signal a “waning wave” of support. Political Fallout: Opposition leaders have already begun sharing the clips, claiming that the “Ma Mati Manush” connect is fading. Social Media Reaction: The hashtags surrounding the event have trended quickly, with many debating whether the outburst was a sign of genuine electoral pressure or simply a momentary lapse in composure. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee loses her cool at a rally as videos of empty grounds go viral. From calling the cameraman “blind” to ordering media not to film exits, here is what happened.
