Is West Bengal SIR 2026 a political cleansing process of Bengali nationalists in West Bengal? What is your guess?
Bengal is the land of communists. Nationalists like Shyama Prasad Mookerjee died seven decades ago.
You may love him or hate him but you cannot ignore him. He is chief Election Commissioner (EC) Gyanesh Kumar. He was working to clean-up the electoral roll at various states so that dead, shifted or duplicate voters can be removed. In this SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process 18.6L (L stands for lakhs or 100 thousand) voters were removed from AP voter list in 2024, 21.5L from Maharashtra voter list in 2024, 5.8L from Haryana in 2024, 9.4L from Odisha in 2024, 11.2L from Delhi in 2025 and 46Lfrom Bihar in 2025. Indian leftists, communists, urban naxals and librandµs are blaming him for working behalf of ruling party but he is only doing his job. Voter list revisions happened dung UPA era also and in all previous era. For example, 13L invalid Delhi voters were removed before 2013 assembly election.
Strangely nobody from this big deletion list came up and said that he is alive and his voter name has been deleted wrongly. Congress leader RaGa made lot of noise regarding ‘vote chori’ and this voter list revision in Maharashtra, Haryana and Bihar. But RaGa kept mum on Delhi voter list revision because congress was not in the race. Similarly 90L voters were deleted for the upcoming Begal poll but congress leaders are not talking about this. Congress seems to be focused on Keralam and ignored Bengal as it is a lost case. Keralam also saw 8.57L voter deletion and Tamil Nadu had 74L voter deletion.
In terms of percentage, Gujarat saw highest 13.4% voter list deletion but there was not much cry from the opposition parties. Bengal’s 90L voter delete was similar to Gujarat’s 13% deletion but here politicians went to Supreme Court many times to halt the SIR. The reason is obvious. Clearly, electoral malpractice and violence is maximum in Bengal and this explains how the bl00d sucking communists managed to rule this state for 34 long years without any development. SIR thrown up many surprises like -
• 65 thousand (in the first phase) dead, shifted, double triple entry voters are included in the voter list of Bengal.
• Even today, the same father is giving birth to more than 100 children! Last time I read in school books that this happened in epic ‘Mahabharata’ thousands of years ago.
• A mother is giving birth to a child every month! voters with over 200 children, 10-15 year olds listed as parents, and 4-6 hours difference in birth certificates, where the registration occurred before the actual birth!
• The name of the same person has been included in the voter list 3-4 times, with different spellings!
• Dead people are staying ‘alive’ in the voter list for years—votes are also being cast in their names!
• 20-30 voters at one address—in reality, not even 5 people live there!
• Moved to another district, another state many years ago, but their names remain in the previous place—opportunity to vote in both places!
• Voters at a minor age—their names have been included in the list before they turn 18!
• According to the age of the voter list, someone has become a father at 14 years old, a grandfather at 30 years old!!
• Multiple names with the same photo—same face, but different identities!
• Completely fake address—where there is no house, voters are created even there!
• 5 people in the family, but 12 people in the voter list—no one knows who is real, who is ghost!!
• Gender has changed—same person is male in one place, female in another!
• Voter ID number is different, but the information is almost exactly the same—clear duplication!!
• If logical discrepancy check was not done, these would not have been caught even in life, but their votes would have been cast.
• Bangladeshi Muslim men changed name to Hindu and became 3rd and 4th child of a man who insists that he has only two children!
• Large number of Bangladeshi residing in Bengal but didn’t made Indian documents made beeline exit from the state after SIR process initiated. Most went back to Bangladesh but few went to other Indian states. Strangely ruling TMC goons didn’t stopped them going back because they realised these illegal immigrants cannot vote for anyway now.

These are not mistakes, these are ‘systematic games’. If the voter list is not clear, then democracy is also limited to paper and pen. Simply put— Fraud in the voter list means direct fraud in the vote. And fraud in the vote means playing with people's rights. This game is going on for decades in Bengal. Communists since 1970s allowed illegal immigrants to settle and become their vote bank. TMC leader Mamata Banerjee even cried in Parliament in 2005 that communists are settling illegal immigrants and voter list is full of Bangladeshis. After 2011 win, TMC did the same thing.
EC Gyanesh Kumar has ruined that game. Somebody will win the election but this time election will be much cleaner than the past. EC banned home guards (who are TMC goons in uniform) from coming near polling booth on the election day and barred them from using their uniform 3 day before to 3 day after the election. Two stage election also prevent TMC goons to travel to various election booths across the state. Nearly 3 lakhs central security forces are on election duty and recently a state police (also B team of TMC) clashed with CRPF in Howrah recently. Salute to you, EC sir.
