Why did the Nehru government implement "the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act in 1951", which brought only Hindu temples under the government control in India?
The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act 1951 was introduced by Nehru basically to curb Hinduism or keep it under control and to promote his agenda of Muslim appeasement. This vile Act has the following effect on Temples and Hinduism:
a) The Government decides on the appointment of trustees for temples. As a result even Non Hindus can become trustees of great temples of India. Tirupati has been governed by Muslim trustees in the past. These non-Hindus being in position of influence have a say in the way funds are utilized. However no non-Muslim or non-Christian can govern mosques and churches.
b) Funding comes under scrutiny and is utilized as the Government deems fit. As a result Govt. can utilize donations received by a temple to build a mosque. Likewise if mosques and churches receive funds and donation, the mosques’ and churches’ can utilize these funds the way they want which often results in building bigger and powerful mosques and even the funding can be used to promote illegal activities like storing weapons in mosques, for instance.
c) With funds received by temples being diverted for other causes, most temples remain in dilapidated and neglected condition (some are still richest in India) whereas mosques and churches having autonomy of dealing with their funds often keep their places well maintained.
Due to faulty appeasement and anti-Hindu policy of Nehru and successive congress Govt. there is rise of Yogi Adityanath in UP, Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam and Pawan Kalyan in Andhra Pradesh. Now Pawan Kalyan is taking about a Hindu Sanathan Board like Waqf Baord created by fallible Nehru.
