Is there any action being taken against the Waqf board for encroaching on Hindu agricultural lands in states like Karnataka and Hyderabad (Telangana)?

There was a huge controversy in Karnataka when Waqf Board claimed 1200 acres farmers land in Vijayapura district. This issue was raised by opposition BJP leaders at every forum. Now congress state Govt. has backed down under pressure and CM Siddharamaiah confirmed that relevant Waqf notification will be withdrawn. The whole process raised question on the ways and property can claimed as Waqf and then also relinquished by the powerful politicians.

Understand the reality of Waqf Board created by Nehru and expanded by successive congress governments. Congress created a land bank which is third biggest after Railways and Defence land which can be encashed for election and other funding. Congress is the ‘benami’ property owner of Waqf Board.

Latest land grab of ASI monuments in Karnataka

Now Waqf claims 53 historical ASI monuments in congress-ruled Karnataka, 43 of which have already been encroached by them. Out of the 53 monuments, 43 of them are in Karnataka’s Vijaypura, 6 are in Hampi while 4 are in Bengaluru Circle. These monuments include the Gol Gumbaz, Ibrahim Rauza, Bara Kaman, forts at Bidar and Kalaburagi and others.

Delhi High Court has asked Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) a 2004 file regarding then PM Dr. Manmohan Singh's decision not to declare New Delhi's historic Jama Masjid a ‘protected monument’ while it continued to get Govt grants. The ASI had earlier informed the court that in October 2004, the Manmohan Singh government assured the Shahi Imam that Jama Masjid would not be designated as a protected monument. The Centre had also mentioned that the letter was with the Shahi Imam. If the mosque is declared a protected monument, the ASI will assume management, leading to increased government oversight which was opposed by Shahi Imam.

People are living in fears in congress ruled states

The congress Govt has been doing these since Nehru era as one particular minority community is their core vote bank. Voting for congress means risking your own property to land sharks. Congress is the new ‘Mughal empire’ of India.
