When did Nehru start loving children and become chacha Nehru? It seems He loved only ladies

Indian citizens born after independence did not saw the independence struggle. Very few may have heard few stories from their parents, grand-parents or grand-uncles. Almost all of them got the story of Indian independence from our history books, short documentary films etc. For 50-60 years, education ministries and many universities were under the control of leftists who has written a biased history that glorified one party, one family, global communist revolutions, India’s non alignment policy etc.

As a child we were told India’s first PM Jawaharlal Nehru loved children so much that his birthday 14 November is celebrated as ‘children’s day’ in India. Every year there used to be special programmes not just in our school but almost all schools across the country. This is a fantastic way to promote one politician in the minds of young generation who will shape the nation. As a child or student, I had to follow school programmes on ‘Chacha Nehru’ like dance, play, role play, debate, patriotic songs and recitation etc. But as I became a mature person, I realised all these are probably stage managed propaganda where in many cases, New Delhi school kids in uniform with teachers went to Nehru’s official Teen Murti bungalow to celebrate childrens day with Nehru.

If we look at old photographs of Chacha (meaning loving uncle) Nehru with children, all children were elite upper middle class or rich family kids mostly from capital city New Delhi. You will hardly find photo of Chacha Nehru with tribal, north-east, south Indian or malnourished rural kids.

Elitist chacha Nehru

Congress party rival RSS/BJP has claimed country’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, celebrated his birthday as Children's Day almost a decade before he died in 1964. In its mouthpiece 'Organiser', the RSS claims that Nehru had issued orders for the same as he wanted to make the whole generation his followers and admirers.

In an editorial published in the 'Organiser', the RSS claims that Nehru emulated the German dictator Adolf Hitler by doing so. It cited an article published in it in 1955, written by veteran journalist RK Malani, claiming that it is a widely held misconception that 14 November is celebrated as Children's Day after the death of Nehru. It substantiated its claim by saying that reports and documents suggest that Nehru's birthday was celebrated as Children's Day in 1955, nine years before his death.

This means ‘Chacha Nehru birthday as children day’ is well planned PR exercise to politically align future citizens towards a personality cult and certain political ideology. Another confusion is emerging now about the first Prime Minster of India. Recently, defence minister Rajnath Singh said ‘Subhash Chandra Bose is first Prime Minister of undivided India’. What does that mean? Left librandµ, pro-c0mmie historians and urban naxalites who criticise Modi government as ‘fascists’, are surprised that BJP/RSS celebrates Subhash Chandra Bose respectfully whom they ignored for 60 years.

Food for thought: the statement exposes pro-left historians

RSS likens Jawaharlal Nehru to Hitler, calls his love for kids fake
The RSS said that celebrating Children’s Day on Nehru’s birthday has nothing to do with his love for children but is merely a PR exercise.
