What is the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim travelling together in the same vehicle to an Indian community event in Kuala Lumpur?
Indian PM Modi top the global leaders popularity chart consistently since 2023. There are many factors for this popularity. His ‘hug diplomacy’ with other world leaders is his style of gaining media attention. PM Modi has hugged fore than 40 global leaders including Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif when he landed in Islamabad on 25 December for unscheduled visit to wish him birthday greetings. Nothing much gained from these hug diplomacy except PM Modi’s global rating remains high.
Now PM Modi started ‘car diplomacy’ where he travels together with leaders of other country to improve his image. The country may not benefit in any way from this publicity. But surely, Indian leftists, communists, urban naxals and librandus who always mock, criticise and abuse PM Modi, will get a ‘Burnol moment’.
In an Indian community event at Malaysia, PM Modi praised Tamil influence in Malaysia which may be linked with influencing voters in upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly election. If this trick will succeed or not, only time will tell. Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu are full of leftists and librandus who promote sub-nationalism or regionalism historically and hence avoid national parties like BJP and congress.
