When is the Mumbai Metro 3 expected to function fully?

Mumbai Metro line 3 is fully functional from 9 October 2025. It was delayed by three years due to congress ecosystem supported andolan-jivis.

Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena government did all possible dirty tricks to block and delay Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train and Mumbai Metro Line 3 project which start from Aarey in north Mumbai. Celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor, Diya Mirza, Alia Bhatt, Dipika Padukone, Shobha De etc. campaigned hard against tree felling for important projects when on average few people die everyday in accidents related to overcrowded Mumbai suburban trains.

Surprisingly, they became blind when congress Telangana government cut more than 400 tress at University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli. Clearly, these people are from the left-Islamist ecosystem and earn money from the ecosystem. Dipika Padukone went to JNU followed by opposition leader RaGa when the students were agitating in 2016. It was rumoured that she received Rs one crore for visiting JNU. Recently she appeared in Islamic Burkha dress to promote Abu Dhabi (UAE) tourism. They earn money outside film industry.

PM Modi inaugurated the critical infra project because he is head of state. The real credit goes to breakaway faction Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde. It was he and many other Shiv Sena MLAs who realised that Uddhav Thackeray is no longer following the founding principles of the party formed by his late father Bal Thackeray. In fact, Uddhav government became a slave of congress party. Congress is known for halting all major infra projects after their top leadership visited one big country (not USA) to attend Beijing Olympics in 2008 and secretly signed a MOU with the only political party of that country.

Following the 2008 secret MOU, all border road projects, mining and infra projects were halted in the name of environment. India’s annual GDP growth came down from more than 10% in 2010 to mere 5% in 2014. There was a massive rise in number of social and environmental NGOs during UPA 2.0 era (2009-2014). They blocked every mining, border road building, and highway construction projects in India. The root cause of these could be donations received by congress party in 2008 from a big country communist party and various western agency like George Soros and Ford Foundation funded NGOs who were determined to stop all developmental projects in the name of environment protection. Many andolan-jivi and dharna-jivi funded by NGOs (read foreign financed NGOs) started their career during this era like Arvind Kejriwal, Yogendra Yadav, Harsh Mandar, Medha Patkar, Arundhati Roy, Teesta Setalvad, Prashant Bhushan, Sudheendra Kulkarni, Himanshu Thakkar (SANDARP who killed all hydro projects in Arunachal, Sikkim, Himachal etc.), SP Udaykumar (Koodankulam anti-nuclear agitation funded by Church in TN) etc. are just few names between 2010 and 2014.

Uddhav Thackeray tried similar brake for Mumbai’s progress in the name of environment and Eknath Shinde prevented that by toppling the government. Recently IAS Ashwini Bhide said Uddhav delayed Mumbai Metro Line 3 by three years due to Aarey agitation. She was removed from Mumbai Metro rail project in January 2020 but later was reinstated by Shinde-BJP government. This delay wasted miliions of rupees.

Recently, one big country (not USA) blocked supply of German company TBM (tunnel boring machine) for Mumbai-Ahmedabad project thus delaying it further. Indian officials took up this case with the German government and now the German company has decided to build the big TBM is Chennai, India, realising the business potential in India. Now one can easily understand which political parties in India want to halt India’s rise and what kind of support they get from outside India. Congress party is a curse for India.
