Why do left aligned Indians support Palestine?

Image
Few celebrities support Palestine and other political causes just for money. Leftists also support political cause outside the country for money. Sometimes this desire for short term money led to undesirable consequences as seen in the case of Bollywood film star Swara Bhaskar. Danish police arrested the environmental activist Greta Thunberg in Copenhagen at a protest against the war in Gaza sometime back. Six people were detained at the University of Copenhagen after 20 people blocked the entrance to a building and three entered, a police spokesperson said. The protest took place when around 20 individuals blocked the entrance of the university building. Three protesters managed to enter the building. Police eventually removed the demonstrators after they displayed an anti-Israel banner from a window of the university's historic administration building in downtown Copenhagen. The 21-year-old climate activist, wearing a black-and-white keffiyeh shawl draped over her shoulders, bein...

Do you think Arvind Kejriwal made the allegation of poisoning of Yamuna river to draw attention away from his government's lack of action?

Image
Delhi CM Kejriwal’s failure to clean Yamuna despite giving deadlines many times is clearly evident. The more distressing fact is he is blaming others and causing panic. A notice was issued to Kejriwal after complaints from BJP and Congress. Delhi Election 2025 Election Commission (EC) has issued a notice to Arvind Kejriwal for calling Yamuna water poisonous and blaming Haryana for this. The commission has asked him to prove his allegations by 8 pm on 29 January 2025 and the deadline is over. If he fails to do so, action will be taken against him under the Indian Penal Code. It needs to be seen if EC takes any action against Kejriwal or again prove that EC is a toothless organisation and all poll conduct violation allegations fall on deaf ears of EC. Kejriwal replied that he was just alerting people about the current crisis in river Yamuna. Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini went to Yamuna river where it enters Delhi and drank water directly from Yamuna to prove that water supplied from Harya...

How should India manage diplomatic fallout from the Nijjar killing and Pannun case?

Image
Since September 2023, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau blamed Indian spy agency RAW being responsible for assassination of Indian origin Canadian citizen Hardeep SinghNijjar. But despite repeated Indian request for proof of this allegation, Canadian government failed to provide any proof. Their single point justification was that they received this information from ‘Five Eyes’ or the security agencies of USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The Indian government always suspected that this pressure on India from Canada and USA was handiwork of USA Biden administration as punishment for buying Russian oil during Ukraine war. This has been proved now beyond any doubt. As Donald trump 2.0 takes over in January 2025, all the fake narratives of Canada is falling apart. India-Canada relations nose-dived in last two years due to Nijjar, Pannun and general Khalistani support from Canadian soil. The G-20 Summit in New Delhi in 2023 and mutual expulsions of each other’s diplomat was low point of...

Why do you think Arvind Kejriwal is increasing salaries of his MLAs by 400% before fulfilling his promises? Would it serve the common man of Delhi in any way?

Image
Before 2015 Delhi assembly election, Arvind Kejriwal of AAP published a list of 70 action plan or promises for the 70 seats of Delhi assembly. This is the list of those 70 promises. Those who lived in Delhi for last 10 years or more should be able to make an assessment on progress made on these 70 points in last 10 years (2015-2025). Before that, Kejriwal also signed an affidavit on some ‘moral promises’ before 2013 Delhi assembly election like he will never live in big houses, never traveling big cars, no red beacon on VIP cars etc. 70 promises for 2015 election: 1.Delhi Janlokpal Bill:  Aam Aadmi Party resolves to legislate the Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill after coming to power. This will ensure a time-bound investigation in matters of corruption. The Delhi Lokpal will have the power to initiate investigations and prosecution against those charged with corruption. A Citizens’ Charter shall be introduced in all government offices in Delhi. Whistleblowers will be provided protection and a...
