Can Rahul Gandhi win any Parliamentary election from North India now?

This is highly unlikely. Let’s consider the family seats like Amethi and Raibareli which has not seen any major economic development in last 2-3 decades or minority populated seats like Rampur, Sambhal, Azamgarh etc. in UP. Even if SP and BSP stays away from that seat by making it a straight fight between congress and BJP, still it will be difficult for Rahul Gandhi. This is because of CM Yogi’s development agenda. Same is the case with other probable seats in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, HP, UKH, Bihar, Maharashtra or Chattishgarh. There is only one seat in MP – Chindwara where local MP and ex-CM Kamal Nath has done development and can easily win. This seat may be best chance for Rahul Gandhi in North India.

The highlight of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ (BJY) was 3570 KM roadshow from Kanyakumari in south to Srinagar in north covering 12 states and 2 UT in 150 days ending in February 2023. If proved successful, congress may launch similar east-west roadshow but there is no news an east-west BJY.

Maximum 11 day tour in Kerala means focus is on Kerala. Only 2 days in most populous state UP. This shows focus is much more on Kerala where he has a MP seat and no focus in UP which is most populous state with maximum Parliament seats and from where his parents and grand parents used to win elections to become PM.

BJY got best response in Kerala

Aim seems to retain his Wayanad MP seat in 2024 election because he hardly has any achievement there. Local people may elaborate more his local achievements as a MP.

No tour in Gujarat which goes to poll in December 2022 which means Gujarat is hopeless for congress and no campaign in Gujarat.
