Where was the need for the Bangladesh Chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, to tell Xi Jinping in China that the seven North Eastern states of India are landlocked? What is his intention?

Image
Insecurity of Muhammad Yunus is forcing him to say something which is undiplomatic and can irk Indian leaders, security and defence experts. Muhammad Yunus is a parachute leader who was brought by Democrat regime of Joe Biden who are not in power now. The new Donald trump 2.0 administration do not look at him favourably. President Donald Trump spoke about the minority atrocities in Bangladesh before November 2024 election and after that. USA intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard criticised Bangladesh as ‘emerging Islamic caliphate’ during her March 2025 New Delhi Raisina dialog session. The Chin and Arkans Army rebels who control Bangladesh-Myanmar border are in control of these provinces and may attack Bangladesh border posts. The Saint Martin Island and other lands may get lost to Myanmar rebels. Bangladesh economy is spiraling downwards as initial euphoria of removing a government is getting lost. They may consider previous government dictatorial but it saw best economic progress in r...

Why were Nehru and Patel against giving Rs.55 crore to Pakistan in 1947?

Image
In the division of assets with Pakistan, India treated Pakistan generously. Pakistan had been pressing India for rupees 55 crores (over USD 500 million in today’s terms). In the Cabinet meeting in January 1948 Sardar Patel stated that the money if given would surely be used by Pakistan to arm itself for use in Kashmir, hence the payment should be delayed. Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, NV Gadgil and Dr BR Ambedkar backed Patel. PM Nehru too expressed his total agreement. The Cabinet therefore decided to withhold the money. Sardar Patel told in a Press Conference on 12 January 1948 that the issue of 55 crores to Pakistan could not be dissociated from the other related issues. It was a mistake by Sardar Patel to openly say this in a press conference but he should have taken refuge of ‘procedural delays’ to release the fund to Pakistan. Gandhiji conveyed to Patel the next day (13 January 1948) that withholding 55 crores from Pakistan was what Mountbatten had opined to him as “a dishonourable...

Why do illiterate Indians have nonsense when Husseyn Suhrardhy initially wanted independent Bengal comprising of West Bengal too, but riots made that go in vain?

Image
Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy was a relatively secular Muslim leader of Bengal in 1920s. He was dy Mayor of Calcutta when Subhash Chandra Bose was Mayor. Later in 1940s, he became highly communal under the influence of MA Jinnah of Muslim League. He realised that he can get a big post in newly independent Pakistan. Suhrawardy was the architect of August 1946 deadly Calcutta riot called ‘Direct Action Day’. Both Jinnah and Suhrawardy’s plan was entire Bengal should be part of new Pakistan state. But due to efforts of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, it was decided to partition the state and Hindu dominated western part of Bengal will join India while eastern part of Bengal will form East Pakistan which is physically far away from West Pakistan. The congress broadly accepted this British plan. When Suhrawardy realised that partition of Bengal was inevitable and Calcutta city is going to India, he quickly floated a proposal for a ‘United Bengal’ (comprising East and West Bengal) country that woul...

What is the mindset of the Congress party in India?

Image
The congress party mindset after independence is to subjugate the Hindus so that Muslims should not feel alienated. They should always get motivated that the congress government is doing anti-Hindu and pro-Muslim appeasement policies. They will oppose Ram temple Ayodhya, stay away from Ram Temple Ayodhya inauguration, abuse Maha Kumbh Mela and river Ganga, abuse every Hindu festivals like Holi, Diwali, Shiv Ratri, Karwa Chauth etc., try to destroy Ram Setu or Adam’s Bridge as Hindu faith is associated with it, abuse even films which they don’t like e.g. Kashmir Files, Kerala Story, Chhaawa etc. Previously they enacted many laws against Hindus which they are not able to do now as BJP is in power since 2014 but in states like Karnataka and Telangana, they are still doing anti-Hindu legislations. Congress follows this policy in India Look at these photos of congress leaders. They appear to be highly educated scholar because they are sitting in front books kept in shelves. But the photo ca...

Why is Mamata Banerjee so tensed about the BJP?

Image
It may seem unusual but it is true that on this day in 1947, after much difficulty, the late Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee was able to influence the Bengali Legislative Assembly to include the Hindu western part of Bengal in India. Md. Ali Jinnah of Muslim League had made it very clear that he would not settle less than entire Bengal including biggest city Calcutta (now Kolkata). The whole of Bengal and Assam were in the initial plans of Pakistan's demand. Although Indian communists who are always librandµ, anti-national and pro-Chinese, considered Pakistan's demand to be very fair, the congress was almost ready to gift the whole of Bengal to Pakistan, ignoring the interests of its large Hindu population. Calcutta was then the largest and richest city in India. It was Jinnah's dream and all the Muslims of Bengal to have Calcutta. It was almost certain that it would be given to the majority community because it was their natural right. Thanks to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, fo...

Why is the grave of Aurangzeb not converted to a public latrine?

Image
K Natwar Singh had gone on Afghanistan tour as an IFS officer with PM Indira Gandhi. After the day's programs, Indira Gandhi had to go out for a walk in the evening. After traveling a long distance in the car, Indira Gandhi wanted to visit Babar's tomb, although this was not included in the itinerary. Afghan security officials objected to her wish but Indira remained adamant on her insistence. At last she went to that graveyard, it was a deserted place. She stood at Babar's grave with her head bowed and eyes closed and Natwar Singh was standing behind her. When Indira finished her prayer, she turned and said to Natwar, Today I have refreshed my history, "Today we have had our brush with history". Being impressed with her ‘slave mentality’, K Natwar Singh later joined congress party. It is not an isolated event because PM Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi visited Babar’s grave. Nehru glorified Babar in his book ‘The Discovery of India’. Subsequently congress su...
