What are some things every Indian should know about Indian history?

Image
They were 6 from one family. 6 brothers and sisters - Sidhu, Kanu, Birsa, Bhairav, Fulmani and Jhanu. They were able to unite 400 villages under their call. They were able to build a struggle to restore freedom against the powerful British. They were able to give a new name to their struggle and the name of that struggle is the Santal Rebellion. 'Hul' means rebellion, this rebellion that took place in 1855, just 2 years before the famous or infamous (as per colonial powers) Sepoy Mutiny in 1857 which was glorified in Indian history books as ‘first freedom struggle movement’ and first serious movement to expel the British from the country. However, the Hul or Santhal Rebellion remained supressed in Indian history text books. In this rebellion not only the Santal tribal dominated citizens, the oppressed people also became its partners. 30 June 1855. On this day 170 years ago, two of the leaders of the Santal rebellion in undivided India, Sidhu (Sidho) and Kanu (Kanhu), called tho...

Is Mamata Banerjee really destroying Bengal? How?

Image
Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s vision do not match with Indian aspirational vision. On one hand PM Modi is talking about India being third largest nominal GDP in the world within few years, CM Mamata Banerjee wants to drag India down. Mamata Banerjee is not just destroying Bengal by allowing large scale illegal immigrants into the country and giving them voter, aadhar card citizenship documents for money but creating a jeh@di army in Bengal who will protect her government by all means (including r@pe and murder). These illegal immigrants have migrated to all Indian provinces and taking jobs from Indian people. See this video about a railway platform in south 24 Paragana district, not far away from Kolkata. https://youtube.com/shorts/GVd1sYZM7Kg https://youtube.com/shorts/GVd1sYZM7Kg The difference of their working style can be understood from year 2008 Tata Nano factory vision. While one CM worked overnight to kick out Tata Nano plant while other Gujarat CM Modi welcomed Tata Nano plant w...

Has Muhammad Yunus destroyed the relationship between India and Bangladesh?

Image
More than the bilateral relationship, Mohammad Yunus is destroying the economy of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh regime change of August 2024 started with boycott Indian goods which originated from rural madrasas (religious schools) where poor students study. It is easy to brainwash children from poor families as they are already frustrated and marginalised economically. The next level of anti-govt protests against elected govt of Shiekh Hasina came from college and university students and mainly from Dhaka University. The student protest ceased the city for days and weeks which forced security officials to fire at the students. The situation became direr and PM Sheikh Hasina had to leave the country. Surprisingly she didn’t went to a western country who claims to champion of human and refugee rights. She also didn’t went to any of the 56 Islamic country but went to India! The govt change initiative in Bangladesh started with ‘boycott Indian products’ campaign The Islamists ceased power bu...

What double standards still exist in the present Indian society?

Image
On one hand, there are so many dazzling lights, dancing, hustle and bustle, arguments and debates about the newly built Jagannath temple in Digha, West Bengal which is expected to improve tourism in this coastal town and also help ruling TMC win Hindu votes. On the other hand, Subhadra, Balaram and Jagannath, who were worshipped with great pomp a year ago, are today neglected, exiled in the midst of persecution by the unbelievers, scattered all over Kolkata, at the crossroads of various streets, under multi-storey buildings, near drains, at the base of banyan trees!!! Since 1960s, when the naxalite movement started in Bengal, it has become the land of leftists, communists, woke and librandµs. Bengal needs a new era Swami Vivekanand who can revive the Hindu society culturally, economically, politically and religiously. P.S.  -This post is neither spam nor plagiarised material and follows Quora policy Picture source: Google / Respective rightful owner Jagannath Dham temple in Digha |...

Does India have deposits of rare earth minerals ore?

Image
China holds 38% of the world’s rare earth mineral reserves but it produces 80% of the world’s rare earths and controls 95% of the global supply. What China has done in the past to reach this stage or doing now may be a matter of concern for Indian government but this is what happens where there is a monopoly business. Gallium is one such rare earth mineral which doesn't have its own distinct ore. So, Indian cannot go to an African or South American country to get Gallium ore. Instead, Gallium is typically found as a trace element in other ores like Bauxite (Aluminium ore) and zinc ores. It's usually extracted as a by-product during the processing of these ores, particularly when producing Aluminium from Bauxite via the Bayer process. China monopolize the supply of Gallium (critical in making advanced Gallium Nitride ‘GaN’ ASEA radars) that’s the by-product of Aluminium, because China produces more than 75% of Aluminium in the world, and it lacks economic sense for small produce...
